Rescue Centre Grants
We provide funding to organisations whose main activity is the rescue and rehoming of UK pets.
How much do we fund?
We provide grants from £250 upwards; the largest grant we’ve ever awarded was £176,000 for a new cattery
What do we fund?
We fund the following:
- Vet bills
- Boarding fees
- Trap and neuter schemes
- Food
- Equipment
- Vehicles
- Building work
How often are grants reviewed?
There are no deadlines; it is a rolling grant programme and applications are considered throughout the year.
How often can we apply?
12 months must have elapsed since your charity last received funds from The Pets at Home Foundation (previously Support Adoption For Pets)

- Read the current grant criteria below carefully to make sure your organisation and your application are eligible for support.
- Make sure you’ve included all the supporting evidence required before submitting your application. For all applications this includes recent financial details for your organisation; additional guidance is below. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions regarding supporting evidence.
- We may also ask if we can conduct a visit – virtual or otherwise! In order to learn more about your work and the way you operate.
