Summer fundraiser launch

We’re excited to announce our summer fundraiser is kicking off in a less than a week!

During our summer fundraising appeal from 4th July – 31st July, we’ll be raising money for our beneficiary charity, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, online and in Pets at Home stores across the UK.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a national charity that trains dogs to alert deaf people to essential and life-saving sounds, such as smoke alarms, intruder alarms, alarm clocks, and even baby monitors.

Just as importantly, hearing dogs also provide love, companionship and emotional support – helping deaf people leave loneliness behind. This can be life-changing, as many people who come to Hearing Dogs for help have struggled with feelings of isolation and loneliness due to their deafness or hearing loss.

It costs around £40,000 to fully train and support a hearing dog for the duration of its life, and the charity relies on donations to continue its life-changing work.

The money raised will help Hearing Dogs to provide ongoing support for its Hearing Dog partnerships for the next year and beyond, all across the country. There are currently over 1,000 partnerships.

Our ambitious goal to raise £500,000 would help fund a third of these for the following year. With your donations, we can achieve this incredible amount and help transform the lives of deaf people.

You can donate at the till in stores starting 4th July or donate online here.
